| Posted: 13 Feb 2012 04:32 PM PST  I spent a good part of the day in my office with glue and paper hearts making these bad boys. They may not be the fanciest of cards, but I feel as though they are what I needed them to be. Which is totally cheesy, colorful, and not all red/pink.  You see, the husband and I have been together since December of 2006...Yet, we have not had the simple pleasure of a Valentine's Day. I thank the Navy for that one, however, there are worse things. Since tomorrow is our first Valentine's Day, I'm thinking heart-shaped pancakes before he's off to work, and at 8:30 we will be off to our dinner reservation. Which HE made, planned ahead! My husband! And there will be chocolate covered strawberries and Oreos for dessert.  Each card has a super sappy love quote inside. Yeah, I went there. I have this thing with quotes...I love them. I write them down all the time. I've even started a notebook of my favorites. I will catch back here tomorrow for an "official" Happy Valentine's Day!   |

| Posted: 09 Feb 2012 07:42 AM PST So you may be wondering where I have been, probably not, but humor me. This girl has been a busy bee.... The Winter-Spring transition in the store I work in, is pretty insane. We throw this HUGE "Countdown Sale," which by 7 pm that day you can get cashmere and designer jeans at 70%....just imagine. Then we do inventory(which turns the store completely upside down), and now we are putting it back together, rearranging, and putting out all the beautiful new Spring clothes. We are moving! Again! 30 minutes North to the great Ocean-State....that's Rhode Island if you didn't know. I've been packing, cleaning, and plugging holes. We are moving into a smaller place, which excites me more than you can imagine. Oh, and I get to sand all of our furniture down and repaint.....it needs little facelift. And as of yesterday, I'm sick. I was thinking to myself, I haven't gotten a cold all Winter. I apparently jinxed myself. Bring on the vitamins! But anywho. One of the things I wanted to do this year is participate more in the blogger world. So all through January everyone was doing the "photoaday" thing. When February came around, I jumped on board....and I'm a day behind....and I combined on two days.....and don't judge, I'm really trying.   Day 1(Your View Today)- My husband came home from work early, so we took the day to relax. Day 2(Words)- While packing I found this journal that I gave my husband on our wedding day. I highly recommend it. It's so fun to fill out! Day 3(Hands)- After a long day there is nothing like milk-n-cookies. Day 4/5(A Stranger/10AM)- All the strangers driving home for watching the super bowl, and it was 10PM, because I was not awake at 10AM that morning. I didn't get home from work until 1 AM that morning! Day 6(Dinner)- We ate McDonald's in our car waiting for maintenance to come let us back in our house. The husband locked us out. | Posted: 26 Jan 2012 07:55 AM PST  This is what Zoey and I are doing this morning. Well, she is actually sleeping..I'm knitting and finishing up some coffee. Then we are running errands. Yes, she is going with me-I would feel guilty leaving her alone. Thanks to those who wished her well:) She is doing good, already playing again! Such a trooper. Hope your Thursday is going well! Chin up peeps it's almost Friday.   |

| Posted: 25 Jan 2012 06:28 AM PST  A mom to a dog that is...no human babies in this household. This morning at 8 o'clock the husband and I dropped our dear Zoey off at the vet for surgery. On New Year's we found a lump in her throat. Ooooooh, when we found that lump a million things started running through my head. I made an appointment-- they told us because her behavior and appetite hadn't changed it was most likely a cyst, but to know for sure they would have to remove it. So that is what she went in for....that and to have a teeth cleaning-gotta keep up with those pearly whites. Now, if you can imagine I'm a nervous wreck. Being home without her running around is an odd feeling. Good thing I have to work today, or else I'd be calling the vet every hour for an update. They did say we could call at lunchtime for an update if we wanted. Fully intend on calling....   |

| Posted: 23 Jan 2012 09:59 AM PST   How was your weekend? We spent most of the weekend inside.....ok we spent all but like 2 hours inside(don't judge). I was supposed to work on Saturday, but the 10'' of snow we received didn't let that happen. The snow didn't let up until around 4 p.m. Sunday was a lazy day, we ran errands in the morning and then of course...football! My husband was excited enough for the both of us. The pictures of me above were taken right after we got done shoveling...actually the first one was after I took Zoey for a walk around the block...in the snow, before anything was plowed-while my husband was shoveling. She enjoyed it way more than I. The second is when I took it upon myself to do the back patio. I may be from Florida, but I can shovel snow like nobodies business. I learned quickly last year, when my husband had duty whenever there was a snow storm...awesome. Oh, and that dresser(actually it's the bottom of our old amour) is getting sanded and repainted by yours truly. Most pictures courtesy of my Instagram. Hope you have a fabulous Monday.   |

| Posted: 20 Jan 2012 11:49 AM PST  This morning was like any other morning. I woke up, hit brew on the coffee, went to let Zoey out, took the above picture(I love waking up to snow!), went back inside to get my coffee...and it only brewed less than 1/2 a cup. So I tried again, same thing. I took it apart, cleaned it...nothing is working! Fed up, I made a delicious smoothie. Delicious, but not coffee. I am running on zero caffeine today and I feel myself slowly fading. And on that note, I'm running next door to get a cup.      |
